Choir Competition "Österreich singt"

The A Cappella Choir Villach took part
in the Austrian Choir Competition "Österreich singt" on
Saturday, March 12th, 2011, and got an "Outstanding" result
from the jury (Chairman: Erwin Ortner).
We interpreted the simple compulsory programme ("Europahymne" and "Bist
du nit bei mir" as well as the chosen songs ("Cantate Domino" by
Vytautas Mis¹kinis, "Mailied" by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy; "Da
spåte Åbnd" (Traditional Folk Song with Christa Mäurer as an excellent
soprano jodel-soloist) quite convincing.
